Looks like there are some exciting projects in the offing
for 2011. Theatre Forum published
their analysis of the 2011 Arts Council project grants today with
by far the largest tranche of funding going to Theatre (€370k)
followed by Visual Arts (€170k), then Music (€199k) in the top
three. The ones I’d be excited about are a new production from
Selena Cartmell of A Pity She’s a Whore, an incredible sounding
concert in Mitchelstown cave with Lisa Hannigan and Caoimhin O
Raghallaigh, new work from Grace Wier and funding for Sligo Jazz
