how I love twitter. I say this a lot being something of a twitter evangelist but I just love the immediacy of it, the way to filter in useful info from people you trust to give you a good heads up on things, and the immediate stream of consciousness aspect to it.  It’s great for work, and for forging relationships, but it’s equally great for  lifestyle things- music tips, interesting stories, general magazine style info – but in a personal context.

Examples?

I am currently listening to D’Angelo’s brilliant 2000 album Voodoo having just downloaded it from itunes for €9.99 about 5 minutes ago.  I meant to buy this album years ago- in fact I think I owned it on CD once upon a time but it’s been lost to the gods of house moves and flatmates.  What has this to do with twitter?  QTip reminded me of it’s existence by posting a tweet

d’angelo OLD epk… http://tinyurl.com/y8hwc9t his new album… CRAZY!

which took me to the youtube for the old EPK- which is great – and off I went to iTunes

3 more things I got from twitter today:

1) A Google Wave invite (finally! thanks @roryok)

2) a link to @eoghans vid for Fight Like Apes making an appearance on Justin Timberlakes blog (didn’t know he had one, somehow doubt he writes it all himself) thanks to @UnaMullally

3) Brilliant Onion sketch on Obama via @Nialler9

I need magazines and papers for why?
